Hello!
Presentation is everything!
With a background in typesetting and working in many design shops, and graphics departments, I was fast becoming the designated "flyer girl" for many performing artists in 1980's New York City.
Another motivation in this field was the desire to improve upon worn newspaper clippings and photos of various retired and semi-retired show biz icons in the community. The restoration of these treasured historical documents and photos were made into brochures or pamphlets to be introduced to a new generation of enthusiasts. Using my creative skills to honor the accomplishments of these great performers, became my mission.
Graphics continued to tap my shoulder as the industry began flourishing with the advent of many new hi-tech options. Having worked in various industries, on any given job, long acquired typing skills always lined me up with opportunities as first trainee on new advanced technologies. This provided a continuum of growth into the Apple computer age as it began to take the world by storm. As a result, Darlene Gist Graphic Design (DGGD) was established in 1993.
Always excited furthering my knowledge and applying years of experience with advanced technology, I remain dedicated and enthusiastic in service to others.
